I have been patiently waiting for Spring to
get here and I don't think it could come soon enough! It has been a
great winter and I have actually accomplished some much needed
cleaning around my home and studio. One of the fun things about
having a painting business is that I get to paint on so many different
surfaces. I have established
relationships with many different companies
and believe me when I tell you that there
is a product available for just about
anything, including Shower Surrounds,
Countertops, Floors, and Cabinets. With so
many people remodeling, fixing up something that's outdated can save
money and give a new look. The fun thing is
that decorative finishes don't have to be
just for your walls! I recently met with a client that was doing a
remodel on their home. They had a fireplace that had great texture
but the color was dated and not working with
the new work that was being done in the home. This is a common issue
for many people with older homes. What do you do
with a fireplace? I have also been in homes
that have brick in other areas inside the
homes such as entry ways. Again, what do you do with that? To just
paint over the
brick looks exactly like what it is...painted brick.
I contacted my friend Tracy Wade from Tracy
Wade Design in Mukilteo and asked her
for some assistance. She came over and together we did an amazing
transformation on
this customer's fireplace. Not only did we update the color and make
it work in her new decor but we were able to breath new life into this
fireplace.
The customer was extremely happy!
